Nicholas Sparks announces his next novel, “Two By Two”

New York Times bestselling romance author, Nicholas Sparks has announced that his next novel, Two By Two, is set to be released this autumn.

The new novel is centered around a newly single father and his young daughter and conveys the emotionally powerful story of unconditional love, its risks, challenges, and more than anything, its rewards.

At 32, Russell Green has it all: a stunning wife, a lovable six year-old daughter, a successful career as an advertising executive and an expansive home in Charlotte. He is living the dream, and his marriage to the bewitching Vivian is the center of that.  But underneath the shiny surface of this perfect existence, fault lines are beginning to appear…and no one is more surprised than Russ when he finds every aspect of the life he took for granted turned upside down.

In a matter of months, Russ finds himself without a job or wife, caring for his young daughter while struggling to adapt to a new and baffling reality. Throwing himself into the wilderness of single parenting, Russ embarks on a journey at once terrifying and rewarding—one that will test his abilities and his emotional resources beyond anything he ever imagined.

Sparks is the writer behind one of the best-known love stories of all time, The Notebook, which was published in 1996. Following this massive success, he has since written the novels: Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Rescue, A Bend in the Road, Nights in Rodanthe, The Guardian, The Wedding, True Believer and its sequel, At First Sight, Dear John, The Choice, The Lucky One, The Last Song, Safe Haven, The Best of Me and The Longest Ride. As well as the non fiction memoir Three Weeks With My Brother, co-written with his brother Micah. His eighteenth novel, See Me, was published in October last year.

The Choice, Sparks’s eleventh film adaptation and on which he served as a Producer, opened in February 5, 2016. Including last year’s The Longest Ride, along with The Best of Me, Safe HavenThe Lucky One, Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Nights in Rodanthe, Dear John and The Last Song, adaptations of Sparks novels have a cumulative worldwide gross of over three-quarters of a billion dollars.

Sparks stories have always inspired romance. They remind us what true love is, and teach us to never take anything for granted, especially those we love. Sparks has been setting young girls standards impeccably high with his novels, and rightfully so. He tells the stories of those who who find love, true love, and how right and perfect it can be. Don’t get me wrong, his characters aren’t perfect – far from it. They each have flaws; they all make mistakes. But his point is always the same: that when you find the right person, they can make you want to be a better person, they bring out the best in you, and if if you’re really lucky, they’ll even make you love the things you once hated about yourself.

No matter what goes on in his characters lives, Sparks uses them to show us that there’s always light in the darkness; that there’s always a way to do the impossible and to survive the unsurvivable.

His books both taught and reminded me to believe in love again, and I can’t wait to see what Sparks has to offer in his new father-daughter novel, Two By Two.
